Orgiva & Las Alpujarras
South of Granada, Andalucia, Spain

Las Alpujarras is a 70km long collection of valleys along the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada.  It is a mixture of dramatic mountains, deep ravines, sloping hillsides, huge gorges, and the most breath-taking views.  It is full of many clusters of beautiful white villages, often seemingly clinging together on the side of a steep mountainside, which are a traditional feature of this area.  Orgiva is the capital of the region and is a thriving, friendly market town with all the essential amenities, such as restaurants, post office, hospital, schools, shops, bars, etc.

Country house, five minutes drive from Orgiva. Rustic style cottage very similar to an English Tudor cottage, the best thing is that there is no garden to maintain, but you do have a terrace and wonderful views of the Sierra Lujar mouontain range. There is the choice of two cottages, both South facing,one a one bedroom, with bathroom, living room/kitchn and large roof terrace. This is 300 Euros a month.
